360-Degree Approach to Foot and Ankle Care:
A Revolution in Healing

Step into a Pain-Free Future with FootPlus Clinic’s 360-Degree Care.

When I first set foot on this journey back in 2002, after completing my specialization in orthopedics and traumatology, I knew there was a better way to approach foot and ankle care. The world of medicine was changing, and I was determined to be at the forefront of this revolution. Today, I’m thrilled to share with you a vision that has transformed my practice: the 360-Degree Treatment Philosophy.

A Journey of Innovation

Let me take you back to where it all began. My interest in foot and ankle surgery started with pediatric cases, but by 2007, it had expanded to include adult foot and ankle surgery. This now comprises 80% of my orthopedic practice. The advancements in orthopedics over the years have been nothing short of phenomenal. We’ve moved from open surgeries in trauma cases to minimally invasive techniques like modern plating and intramedullary nailing. And this is just the beginning.

The landscape of joint treatments has evolved dramatically. Procedures that once required large incisions are now performed through small, precise techniques. For instance, knee surgeries for meniscus injuries, once requiring open surgery, are now done with two small incisions no more than 1 cm each. It’s a testament to what innovation can achieve.

The Future is Minimal: MIFAS

In the realm of foot surgery, we’ve seen a groundbreaking shift towards Minimal Invasive Foot and Ankle Surgery (MIFAS). Imagine correcting foot and toe deformities with incisions as small as 3mm—this is “keyhole surgery” at its finest. It’s about doing more with less, achieving outcomes that were once thought impossible without large incisions and extended recovery times. It’s the embodiment of simplicity and elegance in medical innovation.

The Power of Laser Technology

A pivotal moment in my practice came in 2010 with the introduction of laser technology. The PinPointe laser for nail fungus was my first step into a new dimension of care. Laser technology allows us to treat nail fungus, a condition that’s more than just cosmetic—it can lead to serious infections, especially in patients with diabetes or peripheral vascular disease.

Laser treatments have revolutionized our approach to warts and neuropathy, conditions that impact patients’ quality of life. The precision of laser therapy allows us to treat these issues effectively and efficiently, aligning perfectly with our philosophy of minimal intervention and maximum impact.

A Paradigm Shift in Patient Care

What excites me most about this journey is the shift in how we approach patient care. The 360-Degree Treatment Philosophy is about embracing the full spectrum of treatments—both surgical and non-surgical—tailored to each patient’s unique needs. It’s about recognizing that surgery, while important, is not always the first line of defense. We explore every possible avenue to heal and improve quality of life without unnecessary invasiveness.

With conditions like heel spurs, Achilles tendinitis, and Morton’s Neuroma, we now have the tools to succeed with non-surgical treatments. Our approach combines cutting-edge technology with a deep understanding of each patient’s journey, ensuring that we provide care that is as compassionate as it is effective.

Transforming Lives with Precision and Care

In the world of foot and ankle care, we’re not just treating symptoms; we’re transforming lives. This philosophy isn’t just about medicine; it’s about innovation, about breaking down barriers and creating solutions that are both elegant and effective.

I am passionate about what we do here at FootPlus Clinic. We are not just healing feet and ankles; we are revolutionizing the way healthcare is delivered, one patient at a time. This is more than a practice; it’s a movement. And I invite you to join us on this incredible journey.

Together, let’s step into a future where foot and ankle health is redefined, where healing is holistic, and where the possibilities are endless. Welcome to the 360-Degree Treatment Philosophy.

Nisantasi FootPlus:
Redefining Foot Healthcare with a 360 Approach

Here’s how you can start your treatment at Nisantasi FootPlus today in 4 easy steps:

1

Consultation and Examination

The first step at Nisantasi FootPlus is to schedule a consultation and examination with a specialized foot and ankle doctor. During this visit, your doctor will evaluate your condition and provide you with a personalized treatment plan based on your needs. We prioritize conservative treatment options and will only recommend surgery if it’s the best option for your condition.

2

Non-Surgical Treatment

If your condition doesn’t require surgery, your doctor will recommend non-surgical treatments such as laser therapy, physical therapy, medication, the use of orthotics, in advance cases regenerative therapy solutions (i.e. orthobiologics, PRP, mesenchymal cell therapy).
Another important part for conservative treatment is custom made orthotics insoles, which we manufacture in-house.
Our team will work closely with you to ensure that you receive the best care possible and that you have a clear understanding of the treatment plan.

3

Surgery

If surgery is necessary, your doctor will fully explain the procedure, risks, benefits, and recovery process. Our experienced surgical team uses the latest technology, techniques, and equipment to ensure the best possible outcome.
Our team is experienced in not only forefoot pathologies but also hindfoot deformities.
We also provide post-surgical care, physical therapy and laser therapy to support your recovery.

4

Post-surgical Care and Therapy

After surgery, we will provide you with detailed post-surgical care instructions and schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your progress. We may also recommend physical therapy or laser therapy to help you recover and regain strength.
Our team will also guide you in selecting appropriate orthopedic aids and shoes to cover all your feet’s needs, ensuring proper support and alignment during the healing process.

By following these 4 easy steps, we ensure that our patients receive the best care possible and that surgery is only considered when it is absolutely necessary.
